Louise Vercoe - art
The MIDSUMMER PANELS years
1990 | No Archives

The words surrounding the drawings read:

"Midsummer's day, it is the hour when afternoon waits for evening. The sun dyes the grasses blond and turns granite boulders into sundials. Summer colours; green red and gold. Cloud shadows darken hills of fields. Cries of sheep and larksong echo through valleys and fills the sky. Forgotten places unchanging until the rain melts the stones, frees their souls and mingles earth, blood and ashes at the end of time".
